Beautiful designs created by nature
Eco prints and rust prints can be created by steaming fabric with leaves and rusty objects. Rose leaves and many weeds leave detailed prints. Railroad ties and window weights from old houses are great sources of rust.
After a few hours of steaming, white fabric will become printed with surprising colors and details. No dyes are used – all of the colors are coaxed out of the leaves and rust.
It’s fascinating to unwrap each bundle and see what happened. The next challenge is deciding how each print should be used.
